FraudulentCharges.com receives 5-10 emails a week from visitors who feel they’ve been ripped off by companies throughout the world. We post the most revelant and disturbing claims to help others avoid hassles down the road. In the past week, we’ve gotten 4 emails about the same company which we hadn’t previously heard anything about. We did some research and would like to make it known that the Law Offices of Curtis Barnes has offended and insulted several visitors of this site and many others according to a quick Google search.

The Law Offices of Curtis Barnes is a collection agency that buys bad debt for pennies on the dollar in an attempt to reclaim the full amount like most other collection agencies. The difference, according to those who’ve dealt with this company is that the firm uses very rude and demeaning tactics to attempt to scare citizens into paying these past debts. Many people claim that they call other family members, relatives, and even people that the person with debt doesnt know to try and collect these past due funds.

FraudulentCharges.com can’t verify that any of the below statements are 100% true, but we can say that when 100’s of people have the same fraud story, it tends to be a real issue.

“My mother in law just got a call about some business with me and she lives across the country! The guy who left the message was aggressive and made it sound like there was some major legal issue to be handled. This call was made on a SATURDAY! I cannot wait til they call my back. This is like harassment”

“During one call, I had to ask these guys almost 10 times to quit calling my parents house and to give me an address to write to. These scumbags called my parents house 5 times after that. 5 TIMES!!! And left 3 messages on my parents answering maching.”

“My parents got a call this weekend asking for me. I have not lived with my parents in 30 years. Not sure how they got their number, the man Carlos Bargas told my mother that I was under federal investigation and needed for me to call him IMMEDIATELY !!  My mother was upset by what he said, he didn’t need to go that far with trying to reach me.  This man calls my work # also and if I don’t answer, he leaves really rude messages., if I do answer, I tell them NOT to phone me at work, but, they continue to do so.  Not sure what this is about, but, after reading all the above messages, I am wondering if this is legitate?”

“I received a phone call today. I am confused. I have no late bills, or any bills that are lingering out there someplace.  When trying to explain this I was treated like garbage. When they said they could not find my name or number and I asked why I had this idiot hitting phone keys as that would stop me from talking. Then when I asked why was he acting like a 2 year old he said would a 2 year old do this……..and he hung up.
Earlier during the day around 5:00pm to 5:30 I had to place 6 phone calls because I was getting hung up when I said I could not hold or I asked a question. I did speak to a Mr. Marty, and he was a supervisor. He stated he could not find my name or number but to call him Monday and he will find out why they are calling me. I am thinking with this brand new revolution called “COMPUTER TECHNOLOGY”. And with accessing information from a data base they should have been able to find my name and/or number since they were the ones who called me right?

“I got a phone call from these people today.  They were asking to speak to my younger brother who has never lived with me.  I called the number back and the man i spoke to Mr. Graves, told me that he could not release any information about this legal matter. I told him that if he could not release any info to me then he did not need to call my house.  I asked him how he got my phone number and he told me that he had run a background check on my brother to get information on him and that I was his closest relative. I told him that I would give my brother the message, but he did not need to call me anymore. He stated that until he spoke to my brother he would continue to call my house and I told him that I would sue his A** for harrassment.”

“I got a phone call from this number, 1-866-477-8222. I was told that I’ve taken a Car Loan from Bank of America that wasn’t paid back. WHICH IS SOLID B. S. A lady named Evelyn talked to me first & then a guy, supposedly an attorney’s assistant. EVERYTHING they’ve in their record about me is 100% wrong & they wanted me to give them my personal information. YEAH RIGHT! They seem like Identity Thieves. Be aware, don’t be fooled by them. You can always go to the Bank & find out the real information. Anyway, what they’re saying is wrong. I laughed at them & then HUNG UP!!! They haven’t called back again.”
