Allstate Insurance is rude to accident victim
My sixteen year old son was driving my truck when an Allstate insured driver turned left in front of him and hit him. The accident report filed with the department of motor vehicles of NC clearly shows the allstate insured driver to be at fault for failure to yield. This driver also admitted that she turned in front of my son. Also, this driver did not stay with her vehicle, and drove far into a parking lot, making my son think she had left the scene. This driver waited until a white pickup truck arrived at the scene to either remove items from her vehicle or to hand her items, perhaps a driver’s license. She did not check on my son’s injuries until after said white truck had arrived.
My son injured his shoulder and we now have nothing to drive. We have turned in all paperwork to allstate and my son was interviewed on the phone. We even provided the accident report to ALLSTATE as soon as it was available from the NC DMV. The adjuster, from Charlotte, NC, was a pure bully to my son, she tried so many ways to bait him. She was extremely rude, treating him like he did something horrible, and she kept repeating questions, trying to get him to change answers. He did not, as he told the truth.
At the end of the conversation, after she stated she turned off her recorder, she told him his story and the damage to her insured’s car did not match. She stated she would be contacting the police officer involved and more, continuing to drag this out. Our recorder was still going and she is aware that we were also taping the interview.
We have nothing to drive and ALLSTATE states they still do not accept liability for the accident at this time. My son has been to the emergency room. This is frightening, as this appears to be a rotator cuff injury and he is to begin tryouts for the tennis team next week. Allstate does not care about his injury.
as the owner of the truck have experienced severe stress from this, as I have no way to get to my elderly Mother who depends on me. She lives in a near by town and is eighty eight years old. On Monday I am to drive her to Asheville, NC to a neurologist and I have nothing to drive, since until Allstate accepts liability, they will not approve a rental car. I have spoken with the supervisor of the adjuster who was so rude to my son. She was just as much of a bully as her employee.
This driver turned right in front of my son, and he could not hit his brakes. He did swerve just a little to avoid T-boning her car which would have caused more damage to both vehicles and more injuries. As felt by many here, we are first the victim of a car accident caused by an Allstate insured driver. Now we are the victim of the abuse dealt out by the Allstate adjusters and we have to suffer because we have nothing to drive. They leave work at 5 on Friday and do not return to work on a case until Monday. So, here we sit on the weekend, waiting. I wish there was a lawyer to help us, somehow get this moving.
If I have not heard anything by Tuesday, Feb. 17th, I am filing a civil action against the driver, to try to get money to fix my truck and to be sure my son’s injuries are covered.
ALLSTATE IS THE WORST!
