BetED Sportsbook Scam Customers User Review
Recently I have been using BetED.com for some weekend sports gambling after my credit card issuer began to charge international transfer fees on my account for another sportsbook. I have never dealt with so many small issues becoming such huge hassles all over basically nothing. Before we even start, dont use this company, Plain and Simple.
I’ve done business with close to 30 online casinos/sportsbooks over the years and even worked for a few part time. Some look nicer than others, while others have better lines and some are just easier to navigate/contact. BetED.com is fairly average cosmetically and fails in every other possible category. I was shocked by how the company is run.
Like many sportsbook, BetED offers a deposit bonus. The problem is that accepting their small bonuses can cause you to not be able to withdraw funds if you win a wager. Most common sportsbooks give bonuses as follows: Lets say you deposit $10 and they give you a $1.00 bonus. You put $11 on 4 games to win $110. If you win, you cant withdraw all $110, but you’ll have to rollover or gamble again with the bonus money. So you could withdraw $100, but the reamaining $10 would have to be bet and won before you could withdraw those funds. Thats fair enough and how the common sportsbook works. If you get a $1 bonus and lose your $10 bet, nothing is held against you bc you lost what you didnt have. BetED doesnt work this way. For every deposit you may claim a 10% bonus. (1 for 10, 2 for 20 and so on) except each $1 you get has to be rolled over $55. Also, losing a bet doesnt erase your rollover. So lets say you bet $10 a week on games for 10 weeks, each time claiming the bonus yet never winning a bet 9 of these times. Thats $10 in bonuses and you have to rollover your winnings $550!! So the 10th time you gamble, you deposit $10 claim the bonus and win $200 lets say. Youd have to bet all $200 on a game and then bet all of that on a game to erase your bonus money and be able to withdraw. THIS IS A COMPLETE RIPOFF!. Its hard enough to win 60% of your games without having to double up twice just to reclaim $10 they gave you. What a shady method of not letting people take out winnings. If you get stuck this way, best method is to bet small amount on alot of games. If you have 200 and need to reach $550, just make 20 $10 bets and so on until youve erased the bonus.
So rule #1: Never accept a BetED bonus. That $1 here and there might be $500 held against your account.
The real reason Im writing your site today is because of the customer service not being able to or not being willing to process my documented information.
I began this saga 2 weeks ago before I’d won a bet, as soon as I opened the account. Before you can withdraw, like most sportsbooks BetED requires that you fax or email proof of your bank account, drivers license, and a bank verication form. I wanted to make sure this wasnt an issue if I ever needed to make a quick withdraw. So I scanned my forms and emailed them to BetED. I was never notified they got anything and of course they never got it. So 2 days later I decided to fax the information as well as send a second email. I waited 3 days, contacted them again, they still hadnt gotten anything. A week went by and I won a large bet and was ready to make a withdrawal and of course they dont have my information on file. This is where it gets really exciting.
Now I would fax and email these forms (all 3 required) at the same time. I never got a single confirmation anything I emailed was received. Thats about 10+ emails. No word on those at all….but I was responded to by email regarding my faxes.
I faxed the forms – They emailed me saying the writing was too dark
I faxed the forms again – Beted says they can read it, but I left 3 fields missing which weren’t..
I faxed the forms again – BetED says that my signature isnt clear.
I faxed the forms again – The say they got all my forms, except page 2 of the verfication form, so I need to resend all forms again.
I faxed the forms again – Now they tell me that since theres 2 pages and the terms and signature arent on one single page the form is not valid.
So now I only faxed the verification form, page 1-2 with the terms and signature on the same page. – They tell me they got my verfication form, but need my drivers license, and bank statement again. After saying they received them in an email 15 mins prior.
So I faxed everything again – This time they got everything except my bank statement somehow.
So I faxed everything again, bank statement 4 times in a row with big bold black letter saying, PLEASE EMAIL ME ONCE CONFIRMATION IS RECEIVED. – This is the 1st time they didnt respond to a fax in 10 mins or less.
This is over 8 faxes of the exact same thing and 10+ emails with scanned copies. I never changed how dark the font was, never changed my forms at all, never changed my signature, never changed anything but I guess persistance is the key.
I still dont know if they got everything or not. Im sure they did, probably the 1st time it was sent but its just a complete joke and people would be better off not using BetED.com in the future, after I make this withdrawal, I sure wont be using them anymore.
