Bank of America overdraft scams faithful customers

March 27th, 2009 Posted in Uncategorized

Bank of America has a scam going on where they are charging outrageous fees for items that have already been deducted from your bank account. They charged me $35.00 at least 15 times for items that were used by my debit card because a check came thru that threw my account off. Instead of just charging me a $35.00 NSF they paid the check and charged me 35.00 15 times for the small items that were used with my debit card. they have now discovered how to make millions by taking advantage of their own clients.

Their customer service is very rude! I spoke with someone about this and she was very mean and adamant that I should have known about these fees, which I did not. I am very upset about it. With all these fees, my rent check was caused to bounce. They are charging you more for fees that the cost that you actually spent. With everyone in debt and struggling financially, if 100,000 clients overdraft on one transaction, in one day BOA makes a clean $3.5 Million. I am sure the figure is larger than that easy money. They are the ones that were bailed out and I guess that is how they plan to keep afloat

The damage is bounced checks and the fact that I have 3 kids to take care of. Misery and embarrasment and the rudeness of Bank of American is unbelievable!

As far as the fees the amount of the item wether is 200.00 or 5.00 is fee is 35.00 across the board. The bank provides the tools for customer to use like online banking, automated system customer service is open til 10:00pm if the customer neglects this tools we cant call every customer to advice how to use there account this tools are for the customer to verify information but does not balance the account for them. The bank does not know what checks the customer wrote out if a check has not posted its the responsibility of the customer to check the balance but be aware but checks they have out there pending to hit the account. They always process largest amount to smallest once the process there items so if the customer used the card for whatever reason they are not denying the fact that they did not have the funds on the account but once process comes if the check is larger than the small amounts the check will go first then the smaller items that is not a banker if the customer did not remember they had a check still waiting to clear
